The College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL is offering a Field Studies Trip to France in 2008.
Stay in an 18th Century chateau in the French countryside, while learning about French wines at the source.
Visits to wine producers in Burgundy, Beaujolais and local Roannais vintners
Lunches with the wine growers at their domaines
Wine tasting and appreciation classes
Dinners prepared by the Chateau chef will pair with the wine-growing region studied that day
2 meals at gourmet restaurants
Chocolate shop tour and cheese demonstration
The cost is $2,250 (dependent on currency fluctuations) and includes accommodations (double occupancy), meals, wine tastings and classes. Airfare is not included in the cost of the trip. College of DuPage tuition is extra. Single rooms may be available for a supplemental fee.
All travelers will meet at the Lyon airport on Sunday, May 18 for bus transportation to the Chateau de Matel.
